Welcome to the world of theatre! This 8-week course is perfect for a budding theatre beginner. Each week, students will focus on a specific skill. Check out the class descriptions below. Allow your young star to make new friends and try something new while developing their acting skills. This class will culminate in an invited showcase on the final day of class, during which parents can come and watch the students present what they have worked on in class.

Sept 16th KIDS CENTERSTAGE: From stage directions to stage presence, discover the many elements that bring theatre to life. 

Sept 23rd CREATIVE DRAMA: Learn to embrace creativity and have fun through improv.

Sept 30th FINDING YOUR VOICE: Discover the power of your voice by bringing stories to life through song.

Oct. 14th MOVE ABOUT: A high energy class where students explore the joys and basics of musical theatre dance.

Oct 21st CHARACTER CREATION: Create unforgettable characters through imagination, movement, voice, and learn the tools actors use to bring roles to life. 

Oct. 28th STORY EXPLORERS: From imagination to the stage, young actors discover how movement, characters, and story structure work together to create meaningful stories. 

Nov 4th BROADWAY BOUND: Combine singing dancing and acting to experience what it takes to be a triple threat.

Nov 11th IN THE SPOTLIGHT: It’s your time to shine. Rehearse and then Showcase your creativity, confidence and performance skills for an audience of friends and family.

Great for beginning students ages 6-9. To ensure a safe and successful experience for all, students must be able to participate independently in the activities and classroom environment.

Sept 16th SCENE STUDY: Discover how actors transform words on a page into compelling performances through text analysis, character development, and collaboration.

Sept 23rd IMPROV-THE ACTOR’S TOOLKIT: Strengthen your creativity, confidence, and performance instincts through advanced improvisation techniques, character work, and spontaneous storytelling.

Sept 30th THE ART OF THE MONOLOGUE: Explore the craft of solo performance by discovering character choices, emotional connection, and techniques to captivate an audience.

Oct. 14th THE ACTOR IN MOTION: Build your confidence as a musical theatre performer through choreography, movement technique, and the skills needed to tell stories through dance. 

Oct 21st CHARACTER CREATION: Create unforgettable characters through imagination, movement, voice, and learn the tools actors use to bring roles to life. 

Oct. 28th DRAMATIC STORYTELLING: Develop your skills as a storyteller by exploring narrative structure, character arcs, and the techniques used to create impactful performances.

Nov 4th CHARACTER EXPLORATION: Explore how actors transform text into performance by analyzing scripts, making strong character choices, and developing authentic connections with scene partners.

Nov 11th IN THE SPOTLIGHT: Put your skills into action as you rehearse, refine, and perform a showcase celebrating your growth, artistry, and confidence as a performer.

Sept. 26th Improv & Collaboration: Think fast, make bold choices, and build confidence through improvisation, character work, and creative scene-building.

Oct. 3rd FINDING YOUR VOICE: Acting Through Song: Discover the connection between singing and storytelling as you develop vocal technique, expression, and the skills to bring musical theatre songs to life.

Oct. 17th Musical Theatre Movement: Explore choreography, musicality, and performance skills while learning how movement helps tell a story on stage.

Oct. 24th CHARACTER CREATION: Create memorable characters by exploring voice, movement, emotions, and the choices actors make to bring roles to life.

Oct. 31st THE ACTORS TOOLBOX: Discover how characters, conflict, and story structure work together as you explore the art of creating and performing meaningful stories.

Nov. 7 – BROADWAY BOUND: Combine singing, dancing, and acting while developing the confidence, skills, and stage presence of a musical theatre performer.

Nov. 14 – IN THE SPOTLIGHT: Put your skills into action as you rehearse and perform a showcase celebrating your creativity, confidence, and growth on stage.
