Allow your young star to make new friends and try something new while developing their actingskills. This class will culminate in an invited showcase, during which parents can come andwatch the students present what they have worked on in class. This will occur on the final day of class. Ages: 10 - 13
Whether you are trying something new or you've been in a show or two, this acting class is for you. Actors will develop skills such as stage presence, body language, spatial awareness, vocal dynamics, and individual expression, all while discovering the joy of performance. Class descriptions below.

An acting class dedicated to learning the fundamental building blocks for serious acting in a relaxed environment that will be fun for all. Each week, students will focus on a specific skill.

Spring Break Camp: A Full Week of Fun
Ages: 6 - 13
Instead of registering for individual days, join us for the full week to take advantage of our great value and make new friends! Monday we focus on acting, Tuesday is music focused, Wednesday we improv, Thursday is dance and Friday is all about storytelling! Choose the full-week experience for the best value and even more opportunities to connect, collaborate, and make new friends. Join us March 30th - April 3rd
Whether your child loves acting, storytelling, or simply trying something new, Spring Break at Camp Media Theatre is the perfect place to shine!
Camp drop-off is at 9:00 AM pick-up is at 3:30 PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesday is a Half-day from 9:00 AM- 1:00 PM. No before or aftercare is offered. Students will be given ample lunch time and a snack break so a packed lunch, water bottle and a snack will need to be provided. No official performance will occur with these camps. Rather than focusing on performance, we’ll spend the day enjoying engaging and creative activities. Some elements from camp may be filmed and emailed to parents to be watched at home.
Spring Break Camp: MONDAY Play Practice
Ages: 6 - 13
Campers will dive into the exciting process of bringing a script to life. The day will start with getting to know your games to create a sense of community and guide us to work together as an ensemble. We will break down the principles of acting while we explore character development, staging, memorization techniques, and ensemble teamwork—all while rehearsing scenes from a play. Whether your child is new to the stage or already loves performing, this camp builds confidence, focus, and collaboration skills in a fun and supportive environment. Join us on March 30th!
Through guided rehearsals and interactive theatre games, campers will:
- Learn rehearsal techniques used by professional actors
- Strengthen voice projection and stage presence
- Practice blocking and movement on stage
- Develop strong, believable characters

Spring Break Camp:TUESDAY Musical Theatre Jam
Ages: 6 - 13
Campers will focus on all things music to introduce them to the building blocks of musical performance. Participants will learn how to read and understand basic sheet music, including melody lines, rhythm, dynamics, and key musical terms. Through fun, hands-on activities, campers will discover how composers use music to tell a story and express emotion.In addition to music literacy, campers will explore acting through song— They’ll practice connecting emotion to vocals, using facial expressions and physicality to enhance storytelling, and performing with confidence. By the end of the day, campers will not only better understand what’s on the page, but also how to bring it to life on stage! Join uson March 31st!

Spring Break Camp: WEDNESDAY (HALF-DAY) Improv
Ages: 6 - 13
Ready to learn how to come up with a joke on the spot? On this day Campers will jump into high-energy theatre games and creative challenges that build confidence, teamwork, and quick thinking. Through guided improvisation exercises, participants will learn the basic building blocks of improv to create characters on the spot, invent hilarious scenes, and learn the power of “yes, and”! Join us on April 1st!
This fast-paced, fun-filled day encourages imagination, bold choices, and lots of laughter—no memorization required! Improv is all about quick thinking so this day will be quick too! Ending at 1:00PM instead of the usual 3:30 PM.
Camp drop-off is at 9:00 AM Pick-UP IS 1:00 PM for Wednesday only. No before or aftercare is offered. Students will be given ample lunch time and a snack break so a packed lunch, water bottle and a snack will need to be provided. No official performance will occur with these camps.
