Kids Musical Theatre Dance 6 - 10 years

Ages: 6 - 10
Learn the basics of theatrical movement and creative thinking with your body. Begin to assemble the basic rules of Jazz and Ballet. Perform a new combination each week to classic musical theatre and your favorite popular songs. Build confidence and express yourself in a safe environment. We welcome all abilities. No experience is necessary; all levels are welcome!
This class will culminate in an invited showcase where parents can watch the students present the dances they have worked on in class. This will occur during the final day of class on April 28th.

1-hour class, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Mondays for 8 weeks beginning March 10th.
Youth Acting 10 - 13 years

Ages: 10 - 13
Whether you are trying something new or you've been in a show or two, this acting class is for you. Actors will develop skills such as stage presence, body language, spatial awareness, vocal dynamics, and individual expression, all while discovering the joy of performance.
This class will culminate in an invited showcase where parents can watch the students present what they have been working on. This will occur during the final day of class on April 30th.

1-hour class, 4:00 - 5:00 PM, Wednesdays for 8 weeks beginning March 12th.
Teen Acting 14 - 18 years

Ages: 14 - 18
An acting class dedicated to learning the fundamental building blocks for serious acting in a relaxed environment that will be fun for all. Through improv games, monologues, and scene study, students will work together to write an original short story that will be performed for family and friends at the end of this five-week course.
Actors will develop skills such as stage presence, body language, spatial awareness, vocal dynamics, and individual expression while discovering the joy of performance.
This class will culminate in an invited showcase where parents can watch the students present their original story. This will occur during the final day of class on April 30th.

1-hour class, 10:00 AM- 11:00 AM Saturdays for 8 weeks beginning March 15
CAMP 1- Performance Camp: The Jungle Book

Ages: 6 - 15
Musical Theatre intensive camp for actors 6-15 years old ready to hit the stage in a more extended performance! Campers will prepare The Jungle Book Kids and perform live on the Media Theatre stage! Actors will immerse themselves in the theater world with audition technique classes, rehearsal etiquette instruction, and the preparation of the show. This two-week camp will begin with each camper participating in an audition process for the show. Each camper will be cast in the show and receive a script. Week one will focus on learning choreography, music, and blocking. In week two, the campers will focus on memorization while putting the production on its feet with costumes and props. There will be one ticketed performance of the production on the final Friday of camp, which will be open to the public.
No camp on June 19th.
Drop-off will begin at 9:30 a.m. every morning, with camp beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Before care is available starting at 8:00 a.m.
Pick-up is at 4:00 p.m. After care is available until 5:00 PM. While there is no additional fee for before and after-care, we ask that you register if you intend to use this program. Please note that no formal instruction will occur outside of 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, and campers should bring items to work on independently.
Also included in your camp tuition is a pizza party for the campers, a camp T-shirt, an invitation for parents to attend an invite-only dress rehearsal at 3:00 PM on the final Friday of Camp before the final performance, and a discount on Fall acting and Dance classes at The Media Theatre.
Camp 2 Broadway Bound

Ages: 6 - 12
Kids ages 6- 12 years old rule the stage in this camp, exploring Broadway musical favorites from ANNIE to MATILDA and beyond! Students will learn three songs and three dances and create their own improvised scenes, all based on Broadway classics and performed on our very own stage. *All campers must have completed a full day kindergarten or preschool program to attend this camp.
No Camp on July 4th.
Drop-off will begin at 9:30 a.m. every morning, with camp beginning at 10:00 a.m. Before care is available starting at 8:00 a.m.

Camp 4 Fables and Fairytales

Ages: 6 - 12
Your 6-12 year old’s favorite characters take the stage in this camp filled with magical adventures! Heroes & Villains will meet in this new mixed-up fairytale featuring songs from beloved films & musicals. Students will learn three songs, and three dances and create their own improvised scenes, all based on fables and fairytales. *All campers must have completed a full day kindergarten or preschool program to attend this camp.
